Oh the things she says......

Friday morning Allison and I were scurrying out the door to get to work/school on time. Allison came across a thank you note that I had written to her teachers to thank them for going the extra mile with Allison on a project. She asked what it was, I explained it and then she replied with "Yeah, and Mommy, pause, ((hair flip)) we need to write my teachers at NO thank you note because I don't want to share my tattoos with any of my friends".

She doesn't miss a beat!

Alli's a jokester

I'm thinking there's a whole humor stage that kids must go through. Allison is in the midst of thinking she has a leading role on SNL daily. She loves to tell jokes! Here are her two favorites......

"What does the rain cloud wear under his clothes?".................THUNDERWEAR! Followed by belly-hurting laughter.

"Why did the cookie go to the doctor?".....................Because he felt all crumbly! More belly-hurting laughter.

But by far she just likes to say the most ridiculous and silly things and then laugh. A lot of times I won't hear her or more often not get it--I mean a penguin wearing pink pajamas isn't really THAT funny--and she will just look at me and say, "laugh, Mommy, laugh, right now!". Her strong "leadership" skills still shine through!

Nickels on my face!

So, the other morning I was feverishly trying to get Allison ready for school and she was more concerned with the nickels on my face. At least that is what she said, over and over. She would look at me and say, "Mommy you have nickels on your face, right there Mommy, right there!" She would get her little index finger just a pointing away at my face. When she first said it, I thought she was saying nipples, meaning I thought, pimples. I became very self conscious and checked out my face and to my relief no pimples. Then I picked her up and asked her to show me the nickels. And she pointed to my freckles and added, "Mommy, your nickels are right there!" As if I had never noticed the nickels on my face........

I am behind in blogging, will catch up hopefully this weekend. We are off to Dora Live Saturday night. Woo-hoo!
